Hello! are there any photo packages for sweet 16 pictures? and if there isn't would it be ok to take a professional photographer for her photos? If you can please guide me, it would be for Disneyland!

Hiya, Cyndy, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so excited to help you start planning your daughter’s Sweet 16 birthday celebration! Don't forget to ask for a complimentary Birthday Button when you arrive!

The Disneyland Resort doesn’t currently offer any Sweet 16 photo packages; however, the Resort does have awesome Disney PhotoPass Photographers stationed around both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park as part of Disney PhotoPass Service. You’ll find PhotoPass Photographers at various Character Greetings, select dining locations, and popular photo spots around both parks. One of my favorite places to get the perfect celebratory photograph is in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. There are usually two PhotoPass Photographers on hand to capture some magical poses. You’ll also find PhotoPass Photographers wandering around both parks – feel free to explain your celebration, and ask the Cast Member to take some creative pictures for your birthday girl! My fellow Panelist, Tony, and I once experienced an amazing PhotoPass Photographer in Disney California Adventure Park, who took us on a photo shoot across Cars Land… it was magical! The Cast Member took some amazing shots that we never would have thought of taking!

I highly recommend adding Disney MaxPass to your tickets, if you haven’t already. You can add it on the Disneyland app upon arrival in the parks. Aside from the convenience of making Disney FASTPASS selections on your phone, MaxPass also includes unlimited digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass images! So, this is a great way to capture your daughter’s magic-filled day at a reasonable price.

If you prefer to hire your own photographer to join you in the parks, that is allowed. Just keep in mind that the photographer will require their own theme-park ticket for admission. Also, according to the Disneyland Resort Rules, tripods or monopod stands must be able to fit inside a standard backpack, and not extend over 6’ (182 cm).

Have you made any dining reservations yet? I recommend choosing a spot with a fun atmosphere, such as Blue Bayou Restaurant or Lamplight Lounge. A fun way to end the night is with the World of Color Dessert Party, where you’ll enjoy reserved seating for World of Color while eating delicious treats!

Please stop by with any additional planning questions… I’m all EARs! I can’t wait for your daughter to celebrate the birthday of her dreams at the Happiest Place on Earth!
