Does the photo opportunity with the festival of lights still available at Disney World?

Thanks for dropping out of the tower, Colleen! I promise this will be the BEST TRIP EVER! The Tangled Lantern opportunity (which I’m supposing is what you’re asking about) is a gorgeous Festival of Lights at Magic Kingdom Park.

Originally just an early springtime PhotoPass opportunity, this has become to popular with guests, it’s becoming extended until further notice. You can find the PhotoPass Photographer in Rapunzel’s Courtyard (near It’s A Small World) as dusk falls, holding a glowing lantern that they will share with you. The photo that results is better than anything the Vikings could sing up. It will appear in the photos section of your My Disney Experience, so make sure you have purchased Memory Maker ahead of your trip to take advantage of the lower price. If you want to see all of the available magic shots and glowing PhotoPass opportunities, check out the current PhotoPass album on Facebook. It’s a really neat way to keep track of them all. I hope you will be as awe struck as Rapunzel was when she set out on her boat ride with Flynn.

If you have any other questions about PhotoPass, please be sure to check back with me! I’ll be checking for all those hidden Pascals in the courtyard! ~ Lindsey P.
