Hiya, Alan!
Making magical memories in the midst of Mickey Mouse’s home is my main mission with my many fellow Mouseketeers. The
Disney PhotoPass service makes preserving those memories so easy!
I’m sorry you didn’t get a chance to jot down the PhotoPass photo ID number after your rids on
Splash Mountain. I bet it was an experience worth remembering. I hope we can help you find a way to get that
lost or missing photo linked with
your Disney account. You will want to submit details about your photo on the
Lost Disney PhotoPass Form.
You’ve got the date already to put in the form. Including the approximate time you experienced the attraction will help a great deal as well. Mention in the form’s “Photo Details” that you are looking for an attraction photo from Splash Mountain. If you have a PhotoPass Card, you may also include the 16-digit ID from that card. The PhotoPass ID from your
Disneyland mobile app can also be used. To find your code in the app, tap the ‘+’ button on the bottom of the screen then select “Link PhotoPass Photos.” From the Link Photos screen, tap on “Show PhotoPass Code.” If you have another photo taken of your party that same day, uploading that image will also help the PhotoPass Cast Members zero in on your surprised faces plummeting into the briar patch.
Tony’s Tip: Here’s a trick for the next time you visit the Disneyland Resort. Many modern smartphones include the ability to extract text from photo images. I use my phone to take a photo of our picture displayed on the PhotoPass board outside of an attraction. It’s even OK if I don’t have a clear shot of the whole photo because of other Guests in the area. As long as I get a clear image of the PhotoPass ID number, I’m good. Then I open that photo on my phone and tap and hold my finger on the text of the number. Magically, my phone lets me copy that text. I can then open the Disneyland mobile app and paste that number into the “Link Photos” screen. Instead of lingering longer at the attraction exit, I can use this trick to save time by linking photos at a later time, such as when I’m in the queue for the next
attraction we wish to experience.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Alan. I hope you enjoy reminiscing on your visit to the Disneyland Resort!
