Is there a photo CD that you can buy on the cruise ship similar to a land vacation? Can you pre-order them? Where are the photographers on board and on Castaway Cay? Any other photo tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much for all the help!

    Ahoy, Deanna -

Taking lots of sharp and colorful photos that capture those many magical moments onboard your Disney Cruise vacation is a must. Luckily, there are professional photographers onboard who do just that. If your family is like mine, then we all love getting our photos taken. Pre-ordering a Photo package that includes all your digital photos on a CD works perfectly for us each and every time. Prior to your cruise, you can go to the My Cruise Photos link and choose the package that best fits. You also enjoy a discount if you pre-order. All throughout your voyage, take as many photos as you want, then stop by shutters to preview your photos. You can even choose a package that includes all the prints plus the CD. That way, you'll be ready to put together you voyage photo album for your coffee table once you get home... and at the same time, have digital photos ready for sharing for friends and family all around the world.

On most evenings, the photographers will setup Disney Cruise Line signature backgrounds at the lobby atrium. There might be 2 to 4 of them and there may also be characters. They also go around the restaurants at dinner time, and are around the top decks throughout the day. On Castaway Cay, you'll usually see the first one setup on the dock, in front of the ship, across from the Post Office. You'll see photographers around the beaches too, taking awesome beach shots. Look for the khaki vests and usually a line right around them. Or just come up to them and ask to have your photo taken.

The Personal Navigator will list the daily events & character meet and greets. Those are awesome photo opportunities. Try to plan for family and solo photos each night - formal and pirate night are awesome. My kids love taking jump shots and wacky goofy shots too.

Dress in bright colors & get ready for cute pictures, Deanna!
