On the phone we were told we should go to a ticket booth on 8/25, show our purchased park hopper passes to get the cost discounted from the cost of our Magic Key - is this possible and what identification do we need to bring?

    Hello Kianna,

Thanks so much for coming to see us here at planDisney!

It sounds like you have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow ahead of you with a visit to the Disneyland Resort. Even better, it sounds like you're about to join the Disneyland Resort Magic Key Program!

It also sounds like you might have already given a call to the Disneyland Resort and spoken with a friendly Cast Member about upgrading the theme park tickets that you already purchased to a Magic Key pass.

I would certainly defer to the Cast Member you spoke with and defer to the guidance they gave to you. The Cast Member you spoke with likely has the details on the theme park tickets you purchased. For example, if the theme park tickets you purchased have not been used at all for theme park entry, and if they can be upgraded to a Magic Key pass, then those tickets can be upgraded to a Magic Key pass at a ticket booth at the Disneyland Resort.

I would recommend bringing your tickets and your photo ID.

Kianna, here's wishing you a wonderful visit to the Disneyland Resort. If the planDisney panelists can offer any suggestions to help you plan your visit, please just let us know. we're here for you and happy to help!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
