Can we get a phone call from Mickey to announce to our kids they’re going to Disneyland? If not a phone call, is there a sound file or something along those lines, saying “You’re going to Disneyland!”? Thanks!

Hey there, hi there, ho there, George!

You're as welcome as can be, to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so excited about your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort. And I can tell you are excited too! While the Disneyland Resort doesn't currently arrange for phone calls from Mickey Mouse before a visit to the resort, you may be interested in learning that the Big Cheese and his pals do offer wake-up phone calls for guests staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels. It's a fun way to start the day, energized and ready to take in the magic.

We have enjoyed employing other means to surprise our children when announcing an upcoming vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth. Special gifts for Christmas, birthdays, or Easter have included treats, Disney Gift Cards for souvenirs, hats, or outfits that can be used during the trip. One year, I had a blast creating activity books for the kids to use during the long road trip to Anaheim. One time, we even managed to keep a visit to the Disneyland Resort a secret until we had driven almost the whole way there. What a fun surprise to spring on them when they finally saw the snow-capped mountain of the Matterhorn Bobsleds in the distance!

I hope you find an exciting way to share the surprise with your young Mouseketeers, George. Have a magical time!
