are pets allowed in the park?

Hello again, Fiona! Welcome back to planDisney!

You are a smidge closer to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation than the last time we spoke, and I think that is something to celebrate! Every minute that counts down to a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth is a wonderful thing. You'll be exploring the theme parks in no time at all!

I have a few furry friends that are part of the family, so I completely understand how much pets mean to their humans. I have one pet that loves to stay at home and lay around all day, while my other one would LOVE to go with us everywhere. Unfortunately for these beloved animals, they are not allowed in the Walt Disney World theme parks unless they are specifically trained service animals. If you take a look at the Park Rules and scroll down to "Animal Policies," you can read all about where Guests' animals can and cannot be when on Walt Disney World property.

If you need someone to care for your pet while you are enjoying your vacation, check out Best Friends Pet Care. Complete with indoor air-conditioned areas and plenty of outdoor fun, care is available during theme park hours and for overnight stays. Honestly, when I read over everything that is provided to the pets during their time at Best Friends Pet Care, I want to go spend a day there myself!

I hope this helps with your planning, Fiona! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
