Hello, Debra and thanks for bringing your K-9 question to planDisney!
Debra, from Pluto to Pongo and every pup in between, some of our favorite best friends have been DOGS! These furry sidekicks certainly deserve a vacation too, so let's talk about where they can rest their paws.
At this time
the list of dog-friendly resorts includes:
-
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort -
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort -
The Cabins at Fort Wilderness ResortDebra, unfortunately dogs are not permitted at the Cabins at
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. If you haven't yet booked your stay, you may want to consider a resort on the list above. However, if you've already booked your stay, you're likely faced with a RUFF decision. While your four-legged member of the family wouldn't be permitted at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you could explore the
Best Friends Pet Care option. This partner service is like a resort- just for our non-human friends!
Debra, if you are a Disney Vacation Club Member who has booked (or is thinking about booking) a Copper Creek cabin using your Vacation Points, I understand this may pose a bit of a problem as none of the resorts on the list are Disney Vacation Club properties. If you choose to have your pet stay with you and you'd like to book a dog-friendly resort, I encourage you to read
THIS question and answer by my friend and fellow panelist, Angie. She talks about
converting your Vacation Points to reservation points that would allow you to book anything in the Disney Resorts Collection (
pending availability).
Best wishes, Debra, as you are making vacation decisions. If you have any additional questions, please come on back to planDisney where we love to see a returning guest even more than Prince Eric loves his dog, Max.
