Hi! Are pets allowed in the Cabins at Fort Wilderness? If so, which types? Thanks for the help!!

Hi Cayden! Many guests inquire about bringing their pets from home with them on a Walt Disney World vacation. There is only one location that allows this and it is at the Fort Wilderness Resort.

However, this resort is actually divided into two categories: the campsites and the cabins. Guests are not allowed to bring pets to the Cabins or if they are in a tent at the campsites. Only those guests who have RV's or recreational vehicles may bring their furry loved ones from home.

We actually purchased a motor coach so we could take our pets with us when we travel and that includes Walt Disney World. If you are staying in one of the great Cabins at the resort and want to have your pet close by you can look into the Best Friends Pet Resort which is actually located only minutes away from Fort Wilderness on the Disney property. This is a pet care service for day boarding as well as over night boarding and it offers several different types of care for the animals. You can even add on a bedtime story for your pooch or kitty.
