I bet you're going to love your stay at the
Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, Terence. Have you visited there before? The location offers convenient access to
Disney's BoardWalk and all the dining options available there.
You're wondering about
MagicBands. Whether or not you should get some is really a matter of preference. Using one does offer a Guest of the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel the ability to quickly tap and connect
Disney PhotoPass images to his or her
My Disney Experience account. You could also link your valid theme park tickets and gain park entrance with the tap of your band (a theme park reservation is also required). Unfortunately, though, the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel doesn't participate in the MagicBand program and so you wouldn't be able to use it to unlock your resort room or charge purchases to your resort room account. Now that you're equipped with that information, I hope your decision on whether or not to purchase MagicBands is made a little easier.
Moving on to the second part of your question, let's consider the
Park Hopper Option, shall we? When you buy a theme park ticket, it (together with a theme park reservation) affords you the opportunity to visit a single theme park each day, for the length of the ticket validity. For example, if you bought a three-day ticket, you could visit Magic Kingdom on the first day, Epcot on the second day and Disney's Hollywood Studios on the third day. By adding the Park Hopper Option, you gain the ability to "hop" from the first park to a second park on the same day. Given the current
health and safety measures, it's important to note that Guests must first visit the theme park where he or she holds a
theme park reservation before "hopping" to a different park after 2pm. Also, the ability to hop to a second park is dependent upon capacity availability at the second park.
I hope this helps, Terence. If we can offer any other tips or suggestions, definitely stop back by planDisney and ask away!
