Hey Mallory-
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. This is the best Halloween party, ever. Expect a Mom-of-the-Year award. Here are some
suggestions on how to plan your day before the party.
We had very little wait for any attraction for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. We waited 15 minutes (the longest wait) for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train which typically has a 90+ minute wait. The longest lines are for more popular encounters like unique character meet and greets such as all Seven Dwarfs and Jack Skellington and Sally from A Nightmare Before Christmas. Overall the crowds are less because this is a special “hard ticket” event with additional costs. Each attendee will receive a special wristband and only those wearing them will be allowed in the park party areas.
I would suggest bringing a drawstring cinch sack to contain the candy load. The four of us scored over 10 lbs of candy trick or treating all over the Magic Kingdom Park’s candy trails. Oh the Werther’s Caramel soft chews are so devilishly delicious.
The Boo-To-You! parade is a must and is less crowded the second parade. Get there at least 15 minutes early for the pre-show and the Headless Horseman’s ride.
I would avoid walking all over the place. Sit down with a map from the 2014 party (easily found online) or if available before your visit a 2015 party map and develop a plan for moving from area to area visiting characters, trick or treating and riding attractions.
You must see HalloWishes fireworks spectacular in front of Cinderella Castle. It is the best fireworks music show of the year.
Know those Grim Grinning Ghost of the Haunted Mansion are out to socialize and have fun with you.
Have a spooktacular time with many Magical Memories.
