Hi there, Jillian!
Welcome to planDisney! I can’t wait to help you plan your visit to The Most Magical Place On Earth by sharing my tips and tricks with you! As planDisney’s self-proclaimed foodie and beverage connoisseur, I’m especially excited to tackle your smoothie-centric question!
When it comes to personal blenders, even the compact, travel-sized kind with non-glass containers, things get a bit tricky. While the blender base itself may seem harmless, most models contain internal blades, and that’s where it may cross into the territory of prohibited items. Bladed objects are generally not permitted in the parks for safety reasons, so unfortunately, that means portable blenders are typically not allowed through the security screening checkpoints.
If you're hoping to enjoy a smoothie during your park day, whether for yourself or a picky-eating little one, I’ve got a few options that might help keep the magic flowing without any holdups at the entrance. You could pack a shakable blender bottle with pre-powdered ingredients and simply add water, milk, or juice when you're ready to sip or whip up your smoothie in your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room before heading out. Store it in a spill-proof container and tuck it into a small, collapsible cooler with an ice pack to keep it chilled throughout the day.
Another option is to let Disney do the blending for you! Many Starbucks locations across the parks serve Frozen Starbucks Refreshers, a fruity, icy drink that’s refreshing and often hits the smoothie craving just right. You’ll find them at:
I hope this gives you some helpful guidance as you plan for your park days! If you have any more questions, from snacks to souvenirs, come back and see us at planDisney. I’ll be here and happy to help you sip your way through the magic.
Cheers,
Brent
