Is there a person to talk to in order to plan this trip? I was told you have to register for rides now, and I want to make sure I am booking things correctly.

    Hi there, Traci!

I'm happy to hear you're ready to take the next step in planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. During this time of phased reopening, there are a few extra steps to take when getting all of your plans in order. Guests planning a visit to Walt Disney World now need a combination of a valid Theme Park Ticket and a Disney Park Pass reservation to enter specific theme parks on specific days. It's very important to check the Theme Park Availability Calendar to make sure your desired theme park has capacity availability for the day you'd like to visit! While it's not too difficult of a system to figure out, with the ever-changing protocols and policies during this time, it's sometimes easier to leave the planning to a professional.

Currently, I've been recommending Guests that would like to book a Walt Disney World Resort vacation reach out to an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. Their expertise comes at no extra cost to you than if you were to build your own vacation on the Walt Disney World website. These Disney-trained and certified travel experts can help you choose the best Disney Resorts Collection hotel for your travel party, secure Disney Park Pass reservations, purchase Theme Park Tickets, book Advance Dining Reservations, and basically take care of all of your vacation details for you. Authorized Disney Vacation Planners are always in the know about the latest announcements and updates, and can help you build the Disney getaway you've been dreaming of.

The best way to find an awesome Disney Planner is certainly through word of mouth from satisfied clients, as they are sure to sing the praises of their travel agent if their trip was magical! Another easy way to locate an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner in your area is with a simple Google search. I've also found that with a Facebook post asking for recommendations, you can usually find somebody great that can take over the pixie-dusted planning for your travel party. (Did I mention there's no charge for their services?)

There is also the option to book your Disney vacation yourself, navigating the official Walt Disney World Resort website. The Chat feature is a handy tool, as you can talk in real time with a helpful Cast Member to guide you along and answer your planning questions. You can also call to speak with a Cast Member directly for vacation planning assistance, but the call volume has been quite high and it's possible you'll experience much longer than usual wait times.

Here at planDisney, we are a group of Disney-loving Guests with numerous Disney vacations between us all. We've visited Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and sailed many voyages with Captain Mickey on Disney Cruise Line. While not professional travel planners, we are folks that have "been there, tried that", and we love sharing tips and advice  to help add some extra magic along to your Disney vacation. Check us out on @planDisney on Instagram for our latest Disney adventures!

I hope this helps, and you're soon counting down the days until an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.
