If the other person who is sharing my stateroom can’t sail, can they get their money back or a future cruise credit?

    Ahoy Maggie!

We are so glad to have you here at planDisney and are thrilled that you have a Disney cruise on the horizon.

That’s so thoughtful of you to find out if your travel companion has options if he or she cannot cruise. First of all, if it is due to COVID-19, then there are special cancellation rules in place, which can be found at this link. Basically, booked Guests with COVID-19-related issues (either symptoms or exposure) within 14 days of their sail date can receive a refund without Disney-imposed cancellation fees or apply their cruise fare toward a future sail date. If your reservation has restrictions, then a whole different set of rules applies to that booking. Most restricted reservations are non-transferable and non-refundable. Bottom line: the best way to find out your friend's options is to check with Disney Cruise Line directly

Hopefully this is just a hypothetical conversation we are having and your friend WILL be able to sail with you and Captain Mickey. Just be sure to point him or her in the right direction and get all the information to make an informed decision. Meanwhile, wishing YOU a magical adventure at sea!
