Magic Key holder. Let's chat about what your payments options are when making your purchase online.
While you can absolutely use a
Disney Gift Card to pay for your Magic Key pass, the website can only accept one gift card and then a credit or debit card for the balance. Hold on, though. If you have more than one gift card (lucky you), you can visit the Disney Gift Card website to transfer balances to one card. You'll just click on "My Cards" from the top menu, add any gift cards and then click "Manage" followed by "Transfer Funds to this Card." It's easier than saying, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."
Something to keep in mind is that a gift card can have a
maximum balance of $1,000. If the pass that you're purchasing is more than this, you will be prompted to enter an additional payment for the balance. If you'd like to purchase your pass using just gift cards, I would recommend visiting the ticket booth in person to complete your transaction. If you decide to go this route and purchase in person, I still recommend trying to consolidate your cards ahead of time.
Another benefit of adding all of your gift cards at the Disney Gift Card site is that they will now be connected to your MyDisney account. The best part is that you will now be able to access them for purchases in the
Disneyland app. During a recent visit, I noticed that my gift cards appeared as payment options when I was
mobile ordering food, as well as using the
Merchandise Mobile Checkout. So convenient!
