Hi! Can a person not staying on property make a rope drop reservation? I found an 8:30Am reservation for my party of 12 but 3 in that party are not staying on property. Will they be able to get in for the reservation?

    Hiya Ediane!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by to ask us your question today. Oh my goodness, Ediane, your magical vacation is just around the riverbend! How excited are you to visit the Walt Disney World Resort real soon? I know I would be thrilled, and I am always especially excited about the food. In my opinion, Disney food is an attraction in and of itself!

I am glad to let you know that you can make early dining reservations regardless of whether you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel. Indeed, dining reservations outside of park hours are available to all Guests, so there will be no issue for your whole party to enjoy this location together. The only important thing to remember is that even though you will be entering the theme park before opening hours, you still need to have a valid theme park ticket and a theme park reservation to enter this theme park. Similarly, suppose you make a reservation after park hours. In that case, it is recommended that you make a theme park reservation for that park, as you need to be able to enter the theme park to enjoy your dining reservation. Other than that, you should be able to connect all your Guests to your reservation or simply leave them blank if they do not have My Disney Experience accounts!

Now, Ediane, did you know that this year's edition of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival starts only a few days after you arrive at the most magical place on Earth? Indeed, you will get to the Walt Disney World Resort just in time to experience this festival which is perfect for fans of fantastic food. Every year, I like to check out the Disney Parks Blog's foodie guide and read through the festival passport to make a list of the food items I want to try. Although I am always excited to try new things, I must recommend some of my returning favourites! The Warm Raclette from the Alps is one of my favourites, but I also recommend checking out the Earth Eats booth and its Impossible Burger Slider. Also, if you are travelling with little ones, Remy's Ratatouille Hide & Squeak scavenger hunt is the perfect activity for the whole family. This scavenger hunt is technically for little chefs, but I think it is a lot of fun for dreamers of all ages.

I hope this was helpful, Ediane, and that you and your Ohana will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions or need more food recommendations, please don't hesitate to reach out. You're as welcome as can be!

As Remy would say: "à bientôt et bon appétit!"
