Hey there Vivian and welcome to
planDisney. I am so glad you stopped by with this question because it has happened to all of us. Someone decides they would rather ride Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad while others want to dine at Crystal Palace for breakfast.
Dining Reservations for a group can be tricky.
Officially the lead Guest (the one who booked the reservation) must be present at check-in for the meal, however, situations do arise when that is not possible. Here is my advice. Make sure everyone is linked to the reservation. All members of the party who can still make the reservation should show up early and one person should speak with a host to explain the situation. In my experience, they alter the number of Guests and seat you for a delicious meal. If the meal is a prix fix and/or already paid for then call Disney Dining (407-939-3463) as soon as possible to discuss the situation. In some circumstances the reservation is non-refundable.
planDisney Pro Tip: Many meals require a deposit but you have not actually paid for the meal and can be canceled 120 minutes before the reservation. Check the fine print before accepting all the terms so you know the cancelation policy.
Vivian, I hope this information gives you some clarity and that everyone in your party can make the meal. If you have any follow-up questions,
please let me know directly.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
