If I have 1 person joining us on vacation at the last minute will WDW permit them to dine with us since they aren't included in the reservation?

    Hi Kelly,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

We often travel with friends and family members and it’s happened a couple of times that some people were either no longer able to join us for our trip to Walt Disney World Resort or they were only able to confirm their presence at the last minute. The ability to make any adjustments to your party size is at the discretion of the restaurant’s manager when you check in. I’ve only ever had a problem once where we had to wait an unusually long time for a table due to the change in our party size (in which we added 2 more Guests).

My suggestion to you would be, if you can’t make alternate dining reservations, to show up for your existing reservation about 15 minutes early and explain the situation to the restaurant’s manager. Hopefully, they’ll be able to accommodate you!!

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation and please don’t hesitate to come back and visit us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne

Meet the Panelist: Lynne, Quebec

Hi, I’m Lynne from Montreal, Quebec, Canada! I’m a working mom who enjoys snuggles with my son and my husband, who has been my sweetheart since 1997. We’ve been lucky enough to experience several milestones in Walt Disney World, including our wedding and honeymoon in 2009. As Disney Vacation Club members, we often plan trips for large, and sometimes even multi-generational, groups to come and enjoy the fun with us. Learn More About Lynne
