Hey there, Margaret!
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney! I see you have an upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. How exciting! I love that you're going with friends; the more, the merrier.
Last month, I had the pleasure of going to Walt Disney World with some of my friends. We are a military family, so we like to plan trips every couple of years to get our kids together. Since I'm the Disney expert, I naturally take charge of all the planning. For this trip, there were four adults and four kids in our party, and everyone needed to be linked together so I could reserve our
Lightning Lanes correctly.
To link everyone, I signed into
My Disney Experience account and selected '
My Family & Friends.' This brings you to a page where you'll see the option to '
Add a Guest.' Here, you can search for an existing Guest. Both adults in my party already had their own MyDisney accounts, so I was able to find them using the search feature. If someone doesn't have a MyDisney account, you can create one for them by clicking 'Create a New Guest.'
You might run into some issues after linking everyone. In my case, I had duplicate accounts linked to mine, which caused problems when making reservations. I encourage you to verify after linking to make sure everything is set up correctly. You can do this by
calling Disney, where a Cast Member can help ensure everything is ready before you book your Lightning Lanes.
Bonus tip: When planning dining for a large group, things can sometimes get a little complicated. A couple of places I recommend that have always been big hits are
Via Napoli in
EPCOT, a standout, and
Splitsville Dining Room in
Disney Springs, which offers something for everyone.
Margaret, I hope this information has helped! Thank you so much for bringing your question to us. If you have any others, please reach out. It's been a pleasure assisting you today.
Your personal planning companion,
Michelle
