Hello, Virginia,
Thank you for sending your question to planDisney. How wonderful that you are planning a trip for early fall this year. Your vacation will happen while
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is happening, which is a hauntingly good time to experience the Magic Kingdom in all of its finest autumnal decor including characters in costume, a chance to trick or treat throughout the park, and some spooktastic entertainment.
When you visit the theme parks, you are welcome to bring snacks with you. I know that was essential for us when our sons were younger to have snacks ready to go. It seemed they were the most hungry when we were on Disney transportation or while waiting in line for an attraction, which was a lifesaver to be able to have snacks with us.
Please know
park rules share that glass containers (except baby food jars) and alcohol are not permitted. You can bring a cooler with you as long as it is not larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. Loose or dry ice is not allowed in them.
Locker rentals are available if you'd like to store a cooler or snacks rather than carry them with you.
Wishing you a magical trip! Please let us know if we can help with any further questions you have as you continue planning your Walt Disney World vacation.
