If we have a permanent disability parking placard from out-of-state, do we need to apply for a Florida one? Can we just bring it with us?

Hi Yamylene Anne!  Guests at Walt Disney World who need assistance and handicap parking will have that option at all of the parks and resorts.

If you do not have a handicap license on your car then you will need the handicap placard to hang in your rear view mirror. It does not have to be a Florida placard as Disney recognizes all from around the country. You just need to be sure you have it visible where the date of expiration is showing if that is applicable. If you are renting a car when you arrive be sure and pack the placard in your carry on so you will have it to use immediately.

The parks will have handicap parking that is quite close to their entrances. The cast member at the ticket gates will guide you where to go.

Be sure and check out the Services For Guests With Disabilities to see how else Disney can help you have the best possible vacation.
