Does the $10 per person reservation fee go towards the overall dining bill

Hi Nieda and welcome back to planDisney!

Dining at Walt Disney World is one of my favorite things to do while we are on vacation!  There are so many fantastic restaurants to choose from that it's hard to decide just where we should eat each time.  I usually let my kids choose one restaurant each and then plan our days around that.  My daughter's favorite restaurant is Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom Park and she's really looking forward to eating there next week.

When you make a Disney dining reservation, a credit card is required as a guarantee.  Your card is not charged unless you do not show up for your reservation and in that case, $10 per person is charged to the card as a "no-show" fee.  If you arrive for your dining reservation, there is no fee and you are not charged anything.  When you receive your bill at the end of the meal, you can choose to pay any way you would like as it's not tied to the card you used when making your reservation.  If we are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, we usually pay for dining with our MagicBand, so the charge goes to our hotel room bill.

I see your visit is coming up in a few weeks.  How exciting!  Summer is such a great time to visit Walt Disney World.  If you haven't already, I highly recommend making your dining reservations as soon as possible because options could be limited the closer you get to your vacation.  If you need help with any recommendations, please do not hesitate to ask!

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
