Welcome aboard, Angela!
I hope your question means that you have an exciting
Disney Cruise Line vacation on the horizon and you’re finalizing
packing details for a special trip! I’m happy to share what’s allowed for bringing your own bottled water onboard.
There is
technically no limit to the number of water bottles you may bring with you, but there are additional policies that constrain what’s possible. Nonalcoholic beverages must be in their original packaging, sealed with a label indicating the contents, and placed in your carry-on bag for embarkation day. Your carry-on bag must be no larger than 14” x 22” x 9” in size. Please remember you must keep this bag with you until your stateroom is ready, usually in the early afternoon depending on your departure port. The beverages are in addition to anything else you’d like to keep in your carry-on, such as medicine or fragile items. I always store my technical items such as cameras and laptop in my carry-on bag, too.
If you don’t wish to have the burden of this heavy load with you, there are other options for staying hydrated onboard. Each Disney Cruise Line ship offers a complimentary beverage station on the pool deck with water, sodas, tea, coffee, and hot cocoa. My family brings a refillable, spill-proof bottle for each person so we can enjoy our favorites onboard and carry iced water with us to our Port Adventures off the ship. This water is very fresh tasting, as
Disney actually purifies it onboard as part of their eco-friendly practices at sea.
You can also order bottled water to be delivered to your stateroom through
Onboard Gifts and Amenities; this can be done until three days before you sail and you’ll find anything ordered delivered swiftly to your room on embarkation day.
I hope this helps you decide what’s best for your family for an upcoming cruise, Angela! Staying hydrated is key to staying healthy and happy onboard, no matter your destination. Please let us know if you have any other questions as you finalize this special trip.
Cheers,
Amy
