Dear Jennifer,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I agree that
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is a magical must-do. A delicious menu, scrumptious desserts, and totally dreamy décor (check out the ceramic beach balls around the restaurant!) make it a fantastic choice.
I like the way you’re thinking about maximizing the value of your Table Service entitlements. I recently enjoyed a Walt Disney World vacation and took full advantage of the
Disney’s Dining Plan’s expanded beverage options – there are so many delicious drinks to savor around The World. Guests aged 21 and older may select an alcoholic beverage, and all Guests may order premium non-alcoholic drinks.
I checked with a Cast Member, who confirmed that, using a Table Service entitlement, Guests aged 21 and older may select an alcoholic milkshake as their drink selection, in addition to an entrée and a dessert. My understanding is that your dessert options on the Disney Dining Plan are what are listed under the dessert section of the menu, and may also include ice cream cones, floats, and single-serve sundaes. Your best bet is to speak to your server, who will be able to clarify exactly what qualifies and does not qualify under the dining plan you have.
Jennifer, on my recent vacation, my family shared a No Way José sundae, and I am still dreaming of that warm peanut butter sauce mixed with hot fudge. We got it from the walk-up window and then walked over to the bridge to watch the Epcot fireworks while in a state of ice cream-induced bliss. It was a truly magical experience!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
