    Hi - What do people recommend to do for New Year's Eve 2024 at Downtown Disney in Anaheim? We won't be at the park that day, but wondered if there were any special dinners or events at Downtown Disney. Thanks!

    Thanks for bringing this great question to planDisney, it's never to early to start thinking about ringing in the new year!

    The Downtown Disney District would be a lovely place to celebrate New Year's Eve.  Our family loves to celebrate special occasions with a delicious meal out at a special restaurant, and there are no shortage of options.  

    My first recommendation would be to explore one of the newest additions, Din Tai Fung.  If you have a larger group you'll be celebrating with, this is the perfect opportunity to order a bunch of different dishes for everyone to try!  I haven't had a chance to dine there yet, but I've heard wonderful things about their famous Xiao Long Bao and the Wok Fried Noodles.  Dining reservations are available up to 30 days in advance, but you will not make them through the Disneyland site or app, you will be directed to a different site.  

    If you love Mexican flavors, then you'll definitely want to check-out the menu from the new upscale Mexican restaurant Paseo!  Whether you're starting with the Shrimp Ceviche, or enjoying Carne Asada, you're in for a delicious and vibrant dining experience.

    I also will never turn down an opportunity to dine at Naples Ristorante e Bar, especially if it's a beautiful night on their patio.  Their pizza and pasta never disappoint, and they have an amazing cocktail list!  You'll also be close to the Esplanade between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park where you may be able to see some of the fireworks taking place that night to ring in the new year!  

    You can begin to make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance for most table service restaurants at the Downtown Disney District, and I recommend making these as soon as you can!  There aren't any formal events announced at the current time for New Year's Eve, but I'd definitely keep my eye on the Disney Parks Blog and the official Disney social media channels as the holiday gets closer.
