Do people planning on going to Walt Disney World have to have their vaccination cards

    Hiya April!

Thank you so much for sending your question over and welcome to planDisney! As a Canadian Guest, COVID travel restrictions and regulations are something I am very careful about, and I completely understand why you would want to know all about how Disney is ensuring its guests are safe during these unprecedented times. Thankfully, Disney's COVID measures are relatively and easy to understand, so let's go over them together!

Currently, Disney does not require or check Guests' proof of vaccination. This means that theme park admission, transportation, dining, and every other experience at the resort are not dependent on vaccination status. Masks are still required in certain areas, and while this policy does vary based on whether you are fully vaccinated or not, Guests will not be required to show their proof of vaccination. Indeed, as of February 17th, fully-vaccinated Guests will not be required to wear a mask indoors, except for enclosed transportation such as the monorail, Disney buses and the Disney Skyliner. However, Guests who are not fully vaccinated will still be expected to wear their masks at all indoor locations including indoor attractions and shows. Theme park reservations are still required to manage attendance, so don't forget to make your theme park reservations in addition to purchasing your theme park admission! Finally, you can still find hand-sanitizing stations throughout the parks, which makes sanitizing your hands that much easier, and enhanced sanitation practices are still in use. These policies are always subject to change, so make sure to follow Disney Parks Blog or keep an eye on the Walt Disney World COVID Health and Safety page for the latest updates.

Now, April, I would just like to note that Guests' safety has always been Disney's number one priority and that after visiting the parks several times in the past year, I truly do feel safe on Walt Disney World property. This situation always reminds me of one of my Disney trips in September of 2019 when I got stuck at Disney because of Hurricane Dorian. Orange County had instated a curfew and everyone was preparing themselves for the worst. What should have been a scary experience, however, turned into a pleasant and comfortable stay. Locals even came to stay at Disney Resorts because they knew it was the safest place to be. The moral of this story is that when you visit the Walt Disney World Resort, no matter the situation, you can rest easy knowing that your safety is prioritized at every second of every day.

I hope this was helpful, April, and that you have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. I am so excited for you to experience The World's Most Magical Celebration and EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival in a safe environment, and I cannot wait for you to create magical memories that will last a lifetime!

Have a magical day and stay safe,

    Ariane
