Hiya, Beth, and welcome to planDisney!
That’s a really good question and one that comes up more often than you might think. While there aren’t designated charging areas for
Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) inside the Walt Disney World theme parks, you’ll still find plenty of places to plug in if you need to top off your battery. Since ECVs typically use a standard outlet, you can usually find one outside of restaurants, near restrooms, or even close to some gift shops.
In most cases, Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel can charge their ECVs overnight in their room or in a designated area, which is typically enough to get through a full park day without needing to recharge. But if your ECV does need some extra power, I’d recommend doing it while you’re
dining. That way, you’re only using an outlet for a short period of time and still have a comfortable break built into your day.
And don’t worry if, when you return, your ECV isn’t exactly where you left it. There are stroller and ECV parking areas throughout all four theme parks, and Cast Members are constantly keeping those spaces organized to help with crowd flow. If you can’t find your vehicle right away, just ask a nearby Cast Member and they’ll point you in the right direction.
Pro tip: add a little personal touch to your ECV to make it easier to spot. A Mickey balloon, a few glow sticks, or maybe a lei from
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort can make it stand out and save you time when you’re ready to roll to your next attraction.
You’ll find that accessibility at Walt Disney World is handled with incredible attention to detail, so once your ECV is fully charged, you’ll be set to explore comfortably and confidently all day long.

I’d be happy to share some of my personal favorite spots and how I structure my day to get the most out of my time at the
Most Magical Place on Earth!
