Hi there, Charles! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Walt Disney World Resort has a steadfast dedication to providing an inclusive environment for all Guests and making all feel welcome. I have experienced firsthand just how great Walt Disney World Resort treats
Guests with disabilities and can say that this is one of the primary reasons I return year after year. With that being said, the
Disability Access Service is the next evolution in providing Guests with disabilities the best experience possible when visiting the parks. This service is designed to accommodate Guests that are unable to wait in a traditional queue line due to disability. Guests seeking a Disability Access Service card may stop by
Guest Relations at the front of any park and speak with a Cast Member about their specific needs.
Technically, the Disability Access Service card is assigned to an individual Guest’s ticket and works via the
MagicBand system. A member of the Disability Access Service cardholder’s party may obtain a return time for an attraction but the cardholder must board the attraction with his or her party. I would recommend both Guests that are in need of a Disability Access Service card register for one with Guest Relations. That way, both Guests will be able to experience separate attractions if they would like to do so.
Hopefully this provides a bit more insight into the Disability Access Service!
