If people get fast passes separately can they still ride the same rides together?

Hey there, hi there, Hayoon! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you have taken the time to drop by and ask us your question!

You just brought up a blast from the Disneyland past — Fast Passes! I admit I still have a stack of these in my desk drawer as a memento of past visits. However, that system has been revamped and reimagined a time or two and Disneyland Resort now has the Lightning Lane Pass system. This consists of Lightning Lane Single Pass, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and even Lightning Lane Premier Pass, all of which can be great options for a day in the parks. With regards to Lightning Lane whether you and your party all have purchased Lightning Lane Single or Multi Pass together or separately, as long as you all have a return time that has the same return period or a period of time that overlaps, you will be able to enter the Lightning Lane together.

If you are planning on enjoying your day with a group and all will be adding Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Passes, I highly suggest that one person in the party link everyones tickets to their Disneyland app. This will make planning the attraction return times much easier because that one person can book them all together in one transaction rather than everyone trying to book the same attraction and get same or similar arrival times.

Hayoon, I hope this information was helpful. Don't forget if you purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you also get unlimited digital downloads of PhotoPass photos, including attraction photos, which means you'll have plenty of photos to remember your visit!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
