Hey there, Cayla!
Greetings from a fellow (very cold) Utahn! I'm so happy you and your family are planning to go soak up some sun soon.
I just returned home from the
Disneyland Resort and was also the "leader of the club" for my family. You can definitely link tickets and Magic Key passes to more than one Disneyland account! I find the easiest way to do this is by using the
Disneyland Mobile App (which you will definitely want to take advantage of in the parks as well). To link additional tickets to your account, follow these steps:
- Open the Disneyland Mobile App and tap the three horizontal bars in the bottom right corner.
- Tap "Tickets and Passes" and then tap the "+" symbol at the top right corner.
- Select "Link Tickets & Passes" and either scan the barcode of the ticket you want to link or enter the ID number manually.
I find it easiest to do this for family members when we are together so that I can scan the barcode on their ticket (either a physical ticket or the barcode in the app). You'll be able to select eligible members of your party to get Lightning Lanes if you purchase
Genie+ and join a
Virtual Queue together.
I learned from experience this week that having many tickets linked to my account can be a little confusing. You'll want to make sure you know if other party members are using Lightning Lanes and to be careful not to use them by accident if they aren't yours! Don't worry, the redemption barcodes for each Lightning Lame should show the name of who they belong to if you aren't sure. One of the easiest ways to manage a large number of tickets together is using
MagicBand+ so that members of your party can scan into the parks and attractions individually instead of one person having to scan a bunch of barcodes on their phones. My kids especially love them, there are lots of magical touches in the parks that will take advantage of MagicBand+ now!
Definitely take a minute to read through the
Virtual Queue information before you arrive at the resort. Currently, there are two opportunities to join the Virtual Queue for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway: 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM. You are only able to try to join the Virtual Queue at 7:00 AM if you have a park reservation starting at Disneyland that day, so if riding this attraction is high on your list I would recommend making park reservations that start at Disneyland Park each day so you have that extra chance! The queue filled up in seconds this weekend (one day I got in, one day I didn't) so you want to be sure that you've opened the app and confirmed your party before it's time to join the queue.
I hope you and your cast of characters have an amazing time at Disneyland Park, Cayla!
If you have other questions before you leave feel free to send me a note and I'll be happy to help!Keep moving forward!
