    Do people decorate their campsite in Fort Wilderness year round?

    Hi Linda! I spend a lot of time at Fort Wilderness and have been staying there over the last six years in our motor coach. The fall is our favorite time for a visit with the Halloween and Christmas holidays happening during our stay.

    Fort Wilderness campsites are well known to be decorated for all holidays. The campsite guests go all out to add some fun to their sites. Halloween is probably the most decorated time with Christmas coming in a close second. But that doesn't mean it stops there. You can find sites decorated throughout the year for any sort of occasion. We enjoy celebrating our football love with blow ups of our favorite team sharing the pad with the bus. Other guests might enjoy simply adding their favorite Disney characters to decorate with. 

    Rules apply for site decorating but it is primarily acknowledging that you must keep them on the site you were assigned and off of common walkways and roads. No open flame is allowed and loud noise is not permitted. When thinking about some site decorations remember that safety is the first and foremost importance. But have fun and be creative and enjoy making your time at Fort Wilderness a little bit more fun at any time of year.

    Cabin guests are also starting to decorate more and more so you don't have to be on a campsite to enjoy this tradition.
