Dear Shane, thanks for swinging by planDisney with your question. I am sorry to hear you’re having a tough time securing theme park reservations for the dates you’d like to visit.
The simple answer is, yes. Guests do cancel their reservations to make new ones when their plans change. However, I’ll be honest that this is a very busy time at the parks and the chances of reservations popping up this week may be less likely, with spring break season in full swing.
Unfortunately, there is no standby list. Here is what I suggest:
- Continue to refresh the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar often. If someone happens to cancel reservations, you may get lucky and snag them right away.
- You can use the
Disneyland mobile app to check reservation availability. Though it accesses the same calendar, it helps to use the app and keep checking often while you’re on-the-go. In the app, click the “+” at the bottom of the screen and select “Make a Park Reservation” to access the calendar.
- Try checking reservation availability for both
One Park Per Day and Park Hopper tickets – they may have slightly varied availability.
I know this likely isn’t the answer you wanted to hear, but I’m hoping some pixie-dusted luck comes your way to land those reservations for your trip. Keeping my fingers crossed for you,
Kamini
