Ahoy there!
Welcome to planDisney, Sophia! I’d say that a birthday at sea will make for one fantastic SAILabration! Having celebrated my birthday last year with my girlfriends on the Disney Wonder, I must say it made for lots of memory-making and laughs. In my opinion,
ANY time of year works for a Disney cruise, so whether it's for your birthday or a Very Merry Unbirthday, Captain Mickey makes it magical!
Given your travel dates, you must have an April birthday. That month tends to be very popular as many are traveling for Spring Break. For that reason, Disney Cruise Line recommends that Guests book itineraries for peak season at least one year in advance. As soon as you know what date and ship you’d like to sail on and those itineraries are finally released, make your reservation as early as you can. Fortunately, this is also an excellent strategy for getting the best pricing on your Disney cruise as well as the best stateroom availability.
Since you are doing some long range planning, the early 2023 itineraries will likely be released sometime this fall (if past history is any indication). Start checking the
Disney Cruise Line website around September for the new batch of cruise information to be released.
Then you can focus on getting creative with all the ways to celebrate that special occasion onboard. First, let Disney Cruise Line know you will be celebrating a special birthday during your cruise. You just might be surprised by your rotational dining team at dinner one night with a celebratory dessert and a "Happy Birthday" chorus!
Once onboard, pick up a "Happy Birthday" button from
Guest Services (Deck 3, Midship) that can be worn your entire vacation. Then there's MY favorite: treat yourself with a spa treatment or a Rainforest pass at
Senses Spa and Salon. Nothing says pampering quite like a relaxing afternoon having a facial, massage, or enjoying the heated stone loungers in the adult-exclusive Rainforest room.
SURPRISE us with more questions as you make your cruise and birthday plans. It would be the best PRESENT ever!
Happy Sailing!
