Hey, howdy, hey, Derek!Yeehaw! If you are heading for the Disneyland Resort, you are in for a rootin' tootin' time. And it sounds like you are planning to use the parking area my family prefers when we drive to visit Woody and Buzz at the Disneyland Resort: the Toy Story Parking Area. Although the parking lot is quite close to the theme parks, I love the convenience of the buses from the Toy Story Parking Area that drop off Guests immediately adjacent to the esplanade between the theme parks. On the corner of Harbor Boulevard and Convention Way, across the street from the Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort, there is a walking path adjacent to the automobile entrance to the Toy Story Parking Area. Another entrance is sometimes available on Katella Avenue. However, only the entrance from Harbor Boulevard is usually accessible to pedestrians.During a stay at a Good Neighbor Hotel adjacent to the Toy Story Parking area, my family walked there to visit the parks. While it is possible, frankly, I don't typically recommend it. The sidewalk into the parking area is narrow and not accessible for strollers or wheelchairs. The sidewalk ends about halfway along the 550-meter walk from the city street to the loading area for the Toy Story buses. Because of that longer-than-expected walk to the buses and needing to navigate through traffic and vehicles, my family decided that we preferred to walk to the Disneyland Resort along the city streets on the following theme park days on that trip. That walk is only a little more than half a kilometer further away from the Toy Story Parking Area than the walk to the Toy Story buses from the street.Whether you walk to the Disneyland Resort pedestrian entrance on Harbor Boulevard or use the transportation from the theme park parking facilities, you'll end up in the esplanade between the two parks. If you have a theme park reservation for Disneyland Park, you'll head north to enjoy Adventureland, Mickey's Toontown, and more. If your reservation is for California Adventure Park, you'll turn south to experience Pixar Pier, Avengers Campus, and other great attractions. The entry gates of the two Disneyland Resort theme parks are less than the length of a football pitch away from each other. So if you have Park Hopper tickets, you'll love how convenient it is to pass from one park to the other to enjoy it all on the same day!I hope you have a magical time at The Happiest Place on Earth, Derek!~Tony
