    We're going at a peak time (week of the 4th of July) & have ADR at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary our first morning at 7:45. Should we park our car in the main MK lot & then take the monorail to the Contemporary? How early do the lots & mono

    Congratulations on your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

     

    If your plan is to visit the Magic Kingdom theme park after Chef Mickey's, then by all means you may certainly park at the Magic Kingdom parking lot and take the monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort. In July both the Magic Kingdom parking lot and the resort monorail are scheduled to be operational starting at 7:00 a.m. However, I suggest checking back as it gets closer to your visit in order to confirm this information. Alternatively, consider driving to Disney's Contemporary Resort for your Advanced Dining Reservation at Chef Mickey's, then driving to the Magic Kingdom parking lot at the conclusion of your experience dining with the characters.
