Hi, Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney! I am so happy that you stopped by with your vacation-planning question!
How exciting that in just a few months, you will be arriving at your
Disney Vacation Club Resort, ready to begin your pixie-dusted
Walt Disney World Resort adventure! It's impossible for me to choose which Disney Vacation Club Resort is my favorite, and my goal is to stay at each and every one. This is one reason I always seem to be budgeting for our next Disney vacation and can definitely appreciate this question.
Since your accommodations are booked through
Disney Vacation Club, your
theme park tickets will be purchased separately. Since you will not have a vacation package, unfortunately, you will have to pay for the tickets in full at the time of purchase. However, if you aren't comfortable doing that, I have some tips for you to consider!
One way to lower the price of theme park tickets is to purchase less days. Consider your party's must-do attractions and theme parks, purchase your tickets, and
make your theme park reservations for those must-do days. You can then plan several non-theme park days where you spend the whole day leisurely exploring your Resort's pools,
restaurants, endless recreation offerings, and Resort activities. Resort days are actually my favorite days! Then, as your trip approaches, if you wish to add more days to your theme park ticket, you can easily do so on
My Disney Experience or by calling (407)934-7639.
When you arrive at your Disney Vacation Club Resort, be sure to snap a picture of the Activities Board in the lobby! That way, you'll always have easy access to the recreation offerings, schedules, and even which Disney film is being featured at
Movies Under the Stars!
Jennifer, stop by any time with any of your vacation-planning questions! I am wishing you the most magical vacation!
