Hi Laura! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! I'm excited you are planning a vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth later this year!
When it comes to purchasing park tickets for your upcoming
Walt Disney World trip, you'll have a few options to do so. If you plan to stay at a Disney Resorts Hotel during your visit, you can bundle your tickets together to form a vacation package. By doing so, you'll only be required to pay a deposit for the package upon booking and then pay off the balance 30 days prior to your arrival.
If you purchase your
park tickets on their own, you will be required to pay for them in full at the time of purchase. Payments over time toward your tickets will not be accepted. Since
theme park reservations are required to enter the parks each day, you'll want to ensure that you purchase your tickets in enough time to secure the parks you want to visit on select dates. I suggest starting to save for your tickets now and keeping an eye on the
theme park availability calendar. This calendar will show you what parks are available each day and update as parks become unavailable. As you get closer to your arrival, you'll be able to stay up to date on theme park availability.
Laura, since you'll be arriving during the holiday season, I would follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog for any news and announcements about special events taking place during this time. There may be a holiday party at the Magic Kingdom or other festivities taking place at the parks. Some of these events may require a
special ticket, which would need to be purchased separately.
I hope you have a fun time planning for your visit, Laura! Stop back and see us again at planDIsney!
Have a magical day!
Greg
