Hi Gary! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm happy to hear that you're planning a
Walt Disney World vacation in the near future. Getting the chance to explore the Disney parks and stay in a Disney Resort hotel is truly a magical experience. Let's discuss how to make payments for your upcoming stay.
When you book a vacation package that includes a
Disney Resort hotel reservation and park tickets, an initial deposit is due at the time of booking. Currently, the cost is $200, although this amount is subject to change at any time. The remaining balance is not due until 30 days before your arrival. Technically, no payments are required until then. You can log on to your
My Disney Experience account and make a payment toward the balance at any time if you prefer to do so. When you log on and scroll down to "My Plans," you should see an option to make a payment.
If you have booked a room-only reservation at one of the Disney Resort hotels, you should have been required to make a payment for the amount of the first night of your stay. The remaining balance is due upon arrival. I don't believe there is an option to make any additional payment before then, although you can always
call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservation line and speak to a Cast Member. They will be able to assist a bit further with this request.
When you arrive for your stay, make sure to check out the recreation and entertainment offerings at your resort hotel. Disney does an amazing job of providing complimentary and paid activities for Guests to stay busy on days they are not visiting the theme parks. On a recent trip, my daughters were able to make tie-dye Mickey t-shirts and also paint small wooden surfboards throughout the day.
Gary, I hope this information helps you plan for your stay!
