Welcome, Danielle, to planDisney! It's a pleasure to help you with your upcoming Disney getaway.
For guests with a room-only reservation at Walt Disney World, the remaining balance of your stay is due at check-in.
When you book, you’ll pay a deposit equal to the cost of one night’s stay plus tax, and the rest will be automatically charged to the credit card on file if you’ve completed online check-in through your
My Disney Experience account.
If you prefer, you can absolutely pay the remaining balance in person at the front desk when you arrive at your Walt Disney World Resort.
To do this, I recommend not completing the online check-in process ahead of time, as it will prompt you to enter and store a form of payment. Skipping that step allows you to settle the balance face-to-face at check-in, which can be helpful if you're using a different card, paying with
Disney Gift Cards, or just want more control over the transaction.
Cast Members at the front desk are happy to help, and it’s always a good idea to confirm that your reservation details and charges are accurate before finalizing payment.
If you’ve booked a Walt Disney World vacation package, which includes your room, theme park tickets, and the optional
Dining Plan, once you’ve paid the initial $200 deposit, you can make additional payments at your convenience leading up to your final payment deadline.
To do this, simply log in to your My Disney Experience account and go to the “My Plans” section. Just to the right of your reservation details, you’ll see a button labeled “Make a Payment.” Click it to pay any amount toward your balance, and it doesn’t have to be all at once, so you can chip away at it over time.
Keep in mind that your final balance is typically due 30 days before your arrival, and payments can be made using a debit/credit card or Disney Gift Cards.
Danielle, have a magical time at Disney! Please stop by and see us again soon if you have more planning questions.
Toodles,
Korliss
