Hi Mackenzie!
Welcome to planDisney! Sounds like you are wisely getting your planning ducks in a row for your cruise. Disney Cruise Line definitely knows how to sprinkle the voyages with pixie dust with all that’s included. The fleet has definitely earned
many awards in the cruising industry, including best cruise line for families. In my opinion, it's certainly all it's QUACKED up to be!
While Disney Cruise Line does not have payment plans for Guests, you can
make payments towards your reservation anytime you like after the initial deposit has been made. If you really want to put money away specifically for your cruise, then I recommend that you create a special savings account (or a money jar) for your Disney dollars. Then over time, you can make payments online or
by phone. On the Disney Cruise Line website, under the “Already Booked” tab, select “Make a Payment” and
log into your account. Your goal is to have your cruise paid off by the Payment in Full date.
Here’s another way to make saving for your cruise easier: purchase
Disney gift cards and use those for payments towards your reservation and onboard spending. Did you know you can combine multiple gift cards onto one card? Once you create an account on the Disney Gift Card website, multiple cards can all be consolidated onto a single card (up to $ 1000). I like to buy a $ 50 or $ 100 gift card every month and then salt those away so that I have stockpiled money like Scrooge McDuck for our adventure at sea.
So Mackenzie, I hope you feel like one lucky duck with an amazing cruise on the horizon. As you save up your money and make your payments, please also save up your cruising questions for us. Wishing you a fabulous voyage!
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
