Hi Julie. Welcome back to planDisney! I'm happy to answer your question today.
I just recently became an
Annual Passholder myself for the first time and I'm so excited to use it in August! There are many
benefits and perks of having an annual pass, but to me, the best benefit is being able to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort more often. There are so many new experiences coming in the near future and beyond and it will be exciting to see it all using my annual pass!
At this time, payment plans for annual passes are exclusively for Florida residents only. All other Guests will need to pay the entire balance when they purchase their annual pass. When I purchased my annual pass, I had a few gift cards saved up. I transferred the balances of the gift cards to one gift card on the
Disney Gift Card website (which you can do up to $1000) and used that toward my purchase. Every little bit helps!
As I mentioned before, there are lots of new and exciting developments coming to the resort. By the end of 2023,
EPCOT's multi-year transformation should be complete, bringing a brand-new
nighttime spectacular, a new home for some of our favorite characters, and
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. Not to mention
EPCOT will also be home to the
Disney100 Celebration! We can also look forward to some new restaurants opening like the
Cake Bake Shop Restaurant by Gwendolyn Rogers at
Disney's BoardWalk,
Summer House on the Lake at
Disney Springs, and
Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya at EPCOT. Plus,
Tiana's Bayou Adventure should be opening in
Magic Kingdom Park in late 2024. Talk about an exciting time to be an Annual Passholder!
Julie, please
reach out again if you have any other questions about planning your next vacation, especially if take the plunge and become an Annual Passholder!
All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them,
Matt
