Hiya Ashley,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for your question. I definitely understand the value of budgeting for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. When I was in graduate school, my Prince Charming and I became pros on how to do Disney on a budget. Even though we aren’t in graduate school anymore, we still like to use the tips we learned for our vacations.
Unfortunately, when you purchase
Theme Park tickets, full payment is due at the time of purchase. Only
Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Packages (which bundles a stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels and Theme Park Tickets) are eligible for payments over time. One of the tips we like to use to save money on Theme Park tickets is purchasing
Disney Gift Cards. You can buy them in increments as low as $25 and combine them onto one card until you have enough to cover your Theme Park tickets. It is like creating your own payment plan! You can even use this for dining, merchandise, and all other Disney trip expenses. For dining, I like to look at the
menus online, make a mock estimate of how much my food will cost, and buy Disney Gift Cards to cover the costs.
I’m sorry I was unable to give you the answer you were looking for, Ashley. Hopefully, my Disney Gift Card tip is helpful for you in budgeting for your Walt Disney World Vacation. Don’t forget that you will need to make
Disney Park Pass Reservations after you purchase Theme Park Tickets! If there is anything else we can do to help, please come back and see us.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
