Hey howdy hey Jessica and welcome to planDisney!
While there are no formal payment plans that Disney has when planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, there are ways you can make payments towards your vacation. This will depend on if you booked a vacation package or a room-only reservation. Let's walk through the process of each.
Booking a
vacation package to Walt Disney World Resort can easily be done online and linked to your
My Disney Experience account which you will create and log onto to book your trip. Booking a vacation package including your hotel and Theme Park tickets will require a $200.00 deposit at the time of booking. Full payments are due 30 days from your date of arrival. While you are not required to make a payment before the 30 days, you can make monthly payments on your vacation if you would like. You can do this by logging onto your My Disney Experience account, then hover over "Resort Hotel" and you should see an option to make a payment towards your vacation. Follow the prompts and after you will see your updated total and receive a confirmation email on the transaction and your new total. If you book a room-only reservation, this is a little different.
When you book a
room-only reservation, this will require a deposit equivalent to the first night stay at that resort plus tax. The rest of the reservation will be due upon check-in at your resort. This, unfortunately, cannot accept payments and you are not able to pay until the day of check-in.
Jessica, it sounds like you are doing things right by considering booking a vacation package at Walt Disney World Resort staying onsite at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel which makes navigating the resort so much easier. One suggestion I would offer as you are getting ready to make this reservation is considering the options of your transportation. Some of the resorts like Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Pop Century Resort utilize the Disney Skyliner system for EPCOT and Hollywood Studios and others like Disney's Polynesian Resort utilize the Monorail system. These are so much fun and very unique ways to navigate the resort as a whole. On our non-park days, my three girls love to find a reason to hop on board these options just for the experience!
I wish you the best of luck in the fun process of planning your next trip. If you have any other questions let us know!
Happy planning,
Nick
