Will the payment plan be an available option on NEW CA resident Magic Key Pass Holders?

Hi there, Julie! Welcome to planDisney. Having a key to the kingdom can unlock a new level of magic, so I can understand wanting to get all of your Disneyland ducks in a row ahead of new sales opening up! With the Magic Key program just entering its second year, we are all in the same boat so you won't be a fish out of water when it comes to navigating these enchanting waters!

The good news is we won't have to make like Chicken Little and claim the sky is falling to shine some light on your questions. Recently, new sales did open up for Magic Keys. As you can imagine, they were quite popular and sales have already closed again, but we did get some insight into what was available for Guests purchasing those keys! Happy to report that the payment plan was available in this latest round of sales for California residents! Some Guests reported not seeing it as a payment option, and I have some tips for you to ensure you are ready to go if and when Magic Keys resume sales.

First and foremost, you'll want to double-check that your Disneyland account reflects your current in-state address. Simply head to the "My Disneyland" tab on the Disneyland Resort website, tap into "My Profile", and select "Account Settings". If you're good to go here, let's move on to step two! If Magic Keys resume sales, make sure you are logged into your account BEFORE adding those Magic Keys to your cart. This will prompt the system to register that you are a California resident and will present the payment plan as an option for you! If you have any questions, you can also reach out to the Magic Key Guest Services team. They will be happy to help you!

Lucky for us we won't have to face any fears or dig deep and be courageous like Chicken Little and his pals while we wait for news on Magic Key sales. We will just have to keep our eyes and ears peeled on the Disney Parks Blog, and I personally love to follow along with the @DISNEYLANDMAGICKEY Instagram account.

Hopefully, you and your friends will be strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. very soon. There is so much to look forward to at the Disneyland Resort in 2023, starting with the kick-off of the Disney100 celebration on January 27, 2023! Beyond some platinum touches to the décor, the Happiest Place on Earth will welcome Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway and TWO brand new nighttime spectaculars - "World of Color - One" at Disney California Adventure Park and "Wonderous Journeys" lighting up the night above Sleeping Beauty Castle. As the celebration rolls out over the year, we will see the return of the Magic Happens parade and many other surprises! No matter when that key falls into your hands, so much magic awaits!

Julie, I sure hope this was helpful in your planning. I'll leave you with the wise words of our guide for the day, Chicken Little. "Every day is a new day!", so let's wish upon a star that we hear more news about those Magic Keys very soon! If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney

    Never stop dreaming,
