Are there payment options to pay a deposit and then have the remainder of our trip paid for before we arrive?

    Hiya, Katie!

Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to hear that you are beginning to plan a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. There are so many incredible things happening all over Walt Disney World Resort right now! Traditional Character Greetings have returned, there are new nighttime spectaculars, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is set to open in just a few short weeks. The list of epic adventure possibilities is endless. So, let's talk about deposits and payments so you can get started with planning the best trip ever.

Currently, you can create a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package with a $200 deposit (subject to change) paid at the time of booking. How exciting! And while there are no traditional payment plans offered, you can make monthly or weekly payments toward your trip to pay off your magical stay before the final payment is due. I personally like to take my remaining balance (after deposit) and divide it by the number of months until I arrive. Then I make that payment amount each month to ensure the trip is paid for ahead of the big adventure. Pro tip- purchase Disney Gift cards when you are out running errands or shopping at your favorite grocery/retail locations. Picking up a gift card throughout the months leading up to your stay can help create a vacation spending fund, or pay down a large balance of your trip. Some major retailers (I'll drop a hint for one; their mascot is a dog and their color palette is red.) offer discounts on gift cards when you use their debit/credit card options. These savings can really add up when you are planning a lengthy visit or if you plan on using gift cards throughout your stay. Gift cards are also an excellent way to stay within your budget while you are away!

Katie, I hope that these tips help you book that amazing trip and get the magical vacation planning underway!
We hope to see ya real soon!
