What are our payment options for gratuities while utilizing dining plan? Are gift cards acceptable or only credit card and cash?

    Hi Linda!

We usually add the Disney Dining Plan to our vacations every chance we get.  I love having our meals paid for in advance and the flexibility of ordering practically anything I want from the restaurant menus.

We just came back from a Walt Disney World weekend away with the Deluxe Dining Plan and used all three of the payment methods you mentioned to pay for our Table-Service gratuities.  We usually stock up on Disney Gift Cards before a vacation, so that's our preferred way to pay and this is completely acceptable as well as cash, credit card or Disney Resort hotel room charge with your MagicBand

If paying with a Disney Gift Card or credit card, you'll receive the bill with the total on it and you'll write in the amount of gratuity you'd like to leave along with the card for payment.  If you're paying with your MagicBand, write in the gratuity and let your server know to charge it to your MagicBand.  Your server will then run your Disney Dining Plan and return your bill to you showing you were only charged for the gratuity and the Disney Dining Plan took care of the rest.  If you're paying with cash, you can leave it at the table at any time.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
