How do I make a payment on an existing reservation?

Hey there, Barbara! I am so pleased to meet you and thrilled that you have made planDisney part of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning. Budgeting for a vacation is one of my favorite pastimes.

If you purchased a vacation package (including resort reservations and tickets), you can make payments online. Go to "My Plans" and find your resort information. You should see your confirmation number, remaining balance, and a blue link titled "Make a Payment." You can follow the prompts to make a payment in just a few simple steps.

If you have a room-only reservation, your resort reservation information will indicate "Deposit Paid. Remaining Balance Due at Check-In," along with the amount still due. Although you cannot make payments for room-only reservations online, I have called Disney Resort Hotel Reservations, and Cast Members have helped me over the phone.

One of my favorite budgeting tips is using Disney Gift Cards. Adding a $25 gift card to grocery store trips doesn't seem like much at the time, but it can add up. You can also transfer balances among cards to consolidate the funds. You can use Disney Gift Cards to pay for just about everything at Walt Disney World Resort, including stopping by the Front Desk at your resort before the end of your trip to offset your hotel bill balance. My favorite use: Mickey Ice Cream Bars. Ice cream tastes better when it's shaped like Mickey. It also seems a bit sweeter when my gift card balance covers the cost.

I'll also share one of my other budgeting tips: the Future Stay Offer. You may see notices about this in your resort room, or you may receive an email once you return home, but I want to make sure you don't miss this. If you book a reservation within 7 days of checking out from your upcoming reservation, you can save on your next stay on certain dates in 2025. It's a great excuse to make plans to bounce back into the magic.

Barbara, I hope your upcoming trip is sprinkled with Pixie Dust! If you have any other questions, stop back by planDisney. You've got a friend in us!
