Hello Kelly, and welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! Your magical vacation is just a week or so away. I am doing the single-digit dance for you right now. I am glad you found us here at planDisney to help with putting the finishing touches on your magical vacation.
Kelly, if you have linked your sister-in-law’s tickets to her
My Disney Experience account, she will not need to pick up her tickets, unless she wants a physical admission card. The first thing you need to do is connect your sister-in-law to your “
My Family & Friends” list in My Disney Experience. You can do this by signing in online or in the app, going to your Family & Friends list, and adding a guest. Enter her name and email address to send her an invite to connect. Make sure you are sharing all your plans with her. Once she accepts, you can link her tickets to her account. If she does not have an existing My Disney Experience account, you can create one for her and then link the tickets.
Remember that all Guests to Disney Theme Parks need a valid admission ticket and a
Disney Park Pass reservation. Once your sister-in-law’s ticket is linked to a My Disney Experience account, you can also make a park pass reservation for her to visit the same parks you plan to visit. I would suggest making these reservations right away, with spring breaks coming up, a lot of parks may not have any reservations left.
Your sister-in-law has a few options to access her tickets. If she has an existing account with an active
MagicBand, she can use it to access her admission and any Genie+ or Lightning Lane experiences. She can also set up a Disney MagicMobile pass in the My Disney Experience Mobile app. This
MagicMobile pass can be used with any iOS device or Android device with Google Pay. Just log in to the My Disney Experience mobile app, tap the more icon (3 horizontal lines) and tap the Disney MagicMobile button. Follow the prompts to set up a pass and save it to your device’s mobile wallet. Now you can use your smartphone like a MagicBand or admission card.
I am wishing you so much fun on your upcoming trip!
See ya real soon,
Andrea
