We are paying for a cruise but using points to stay at resort before. How do we book the transportation to the port?

    Welcome aboard, Thomas!

How exciting to hear that you'll be experiencing some magic on land, and then quickly followed by more magic to enjoy out on the high seas! As a fellow DVC member, we love enjoying the Disney Resorts before embarking on a voyage as well.

I will assume that you are traveling to Walt Disney World in Orlando and boarding your cruise at Port Canaveral. That's how I'll answer your question... but just in case you are traveling to Disneyland in California and boarding a California voyage - just respond and we'll get you the info. :-)

For a Florida vacation, you have the option of taking the Disney Cruise Line ground transportation. It is the most convenient way to get from your Disney resort to Port Canaveral. There is an additional cost of $35 each way ($70 round trip) per passenger. Ground Transportation includes baggage handling too - so you won't have to worry about lugging all your baggage with you to the port. Check-in luggage will be picked up from your hotel room in the morning, and it will be delivered straight to your stateroom onboard that same afternoon. You'll just need a day bag with you for your days' essentials - like your bathing suits, sunblock, prescription medication, travel documents, etc. You'll have a convenient pickup location right at your hotel, and you board the luxury motor coach that will whisk you away to Port Canaveral. You can call the DCL Travel Desk directly to book your ground transportation at 1-800-951-3532.

After your cruise, you can also arrange for the motor coach to bring you back to a Disney Hotel or to the MCO Airport if you are heading straight home after the cruise. Don't forget to stop by the Disney Vacation Club desk onboard - they usually have special gifts for cruising DVC Members. They'll also have special meet-ups during your voyage complete with gifts and prizes.

I hope this info helps, Thomas! Let us know if you need any other info.
