Hi there, Jonathan!
Thanks for stopping by to planDisney with your question. It’s our pleasure to assist you as you plan an enchanted stay at the most magical place on Earth!
Oh boy! Two nights at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel? That’s already sounding like a dream come true! As a fellow Floridian, let me be the first to say welcome to your next staycation full of pixie dust and memories waiting to happen.
When booking a room-only reservation at a Disney Resort hotel, the standard policy is to pay a deposit (equal to the first night’s rate plus tax) at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due upon check-in. If you’ve booked a vacation package (which includes both your room and theme park tickets), then the system typically requires a larger upfront deposit with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival.
Currently, there isn’t a built-in option at checkout that lets you split the cost a different way, like half now and half on arrival, unless your reservation falls under the room-only category I mentioned. However, here’s a tip: after booking, you can make additional payments anytime through your
My Disney Experience account! Just log in, find your reservation under “
My Plans,” and choose “Make a Payment.” This is a great way to chip away at your balance on your own schedule.
Still have a specific payment plan in mind? You’re always welcome to call the friendly Cast Members at the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line for more personalized assistance. I’ve found they’re happy to help you navigate your options like a true Fairy Godparent.
Wishing you a magical stay full of pixie-dusted details and unforgettable moments!
See ya real soon,
Emille
